There are no medical facilities. Most of the time one has to travel several kilometers to Dambodas or Skardu City for medical checkup, which is utter cruelty and injustice in view of the present advanced age.

The source of livelihood of the people is considered to be farming. Potatoes are the most exported vegetable from this are to other regions of Baltistan and Pakistan. Wheat, barley and other commodities are also cultivated.
